Birwadi Fort, also known as Birwadi Killa, is a hill fortress situated in the village of Birwadi, in the Roha Taluka of the Raigad district in Maharashtra, India.
Location and Accessibility
The village of Birwadi is approximately 3 kilometers from Chanera village, which lies on the Roha-Salav road. From a distance, the fort appears as a small hillock, standing at an elevation of about 1200 feet.
To reach Birwadi Fort, one can travel by road to Chanera village. State buses and rickshaws are readily available from Roha to Chanera. The trek to the fort commences from behind the newly constructed Devi temple in Birwadi village. It takes approximately 45 minutes to ascend to the top of the fort.
