 Belapur Fort, a historical landmark in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, stands as a silent witness to the region's rich and dynamic past. Situated near the township of Belapur, the fort is perched on a small hillock, offering commanding views of the Belapur Creek and the Arabian Sea.

The fort's origins trace back to the 16th century when it was constructed by the Siddis of Janjira, a powerful dynasty of African descent known for their naval prowess along the western coast of India. They strategically built the fort to control coastal trade routes and protect their territories.
